Explorations Field Trip: Hall of Human Origins at Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

April 6 @ 9:45 am - 11:00 am

Rockville Science Center members, join Richard Shrager, docent at the Hall of Human Origins (HHO) in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, as he gives us a tour of the HHO on Thursday, April 6, 2017, 10 – 11 am.

Topics to be covered are:

1. Genetic relationships between humans and other species.

2. Relations between modern humans and their early human predecessors.

3, The stages in our evolution from ape-like ancestors.

4. Our recent and current relation to the biosphere.

The tour will meet inside the Constitution Avenue entrance to NMNH around 10 am, which is opening time, so we will allow time for our group to get through security. Once through security, go to the left end of the lobby and convene at the large T.rex head. Then we will proceed to the HHO as a group.

Please register by March 29.

Attendance on this field trip is open to anyone who is a current member of Rockville Science Center.
