Following the RSC 2.0 community brainstorming sessions in summer 2015, Rockville Science Center (RSC) has released its 2016 Vision Statement and Prospectus. Outlining RSC’s past achievements and future possibilities, the document looks at the benefits to be brought to the Rockville area community by the introduction of a physical facility, including better support for STEM education, further advancement of Rockville’s reputation as an attractive location for STEM companies, economic benefits for nearby businesses, and social benefits to the community by growing the local scientific workforce and building a community focused on education and sharing ideas. The report includes specifics about what is desired in the new Center and contains architectural drawings of sites in the area that are being considered for the Center.
About RSC 2.0
In March 2015, an invitation was issued by The Rockville Science Center (RSC) to the Rockville community about a series of community brainstorming sessions to determine an overall business plan for a brick-and-mortar facility. Those sessions were very productive and a report on the results is now being finalized.
