All are welcome to join us on Zoom for April's Rockville Science Cafe Lecture. We’ll explore the history of fingerprints and their use for identification purposes, and we’ll even go through a live online demo of fingerprint collection and matching using the presenter's fingers.
Our speaker: Shahram Orandi is a computer scientist and biometric researcher in the Information Access Division of the Information Technology Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Shahram holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
