Need to know:

What is a 50/50 raffle? A 50/50 raffle splits the proceeds in half so that the organization running the raffle gets 50% of the raffle proceeds and one lucky winner randomly selected gets the other 50%.

How much does a ticket cost? Tickets are $5 each or purchase a bundle to increase your chances and save on the ticket price. A Bonus Bundle of 5 tickets costs $20 and gives you 1 free ticket. A Super Bonus Bundle of 10 tickets costs $35 and gives you 3 free tickets!

Can I pay cash for a ticket at Science Day or the storefront? No, since this is an online raffle, participation does require the use of a credit card on the raffle webpage.

Who can participate? You must be 18 or older to participate. Staff and Trustees of the Rockville Science Center (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to participate.

When does the raffle end? Ticket sales will run until 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 27 (Rockville Science Day). We will announce the winner during the rocket launch on the athletic field at Montgomery College (Rockville).

What if I can't make it to Rockville Science Day? No worries. Since this is an online raffle, the winner need not be present to collect their prize. We will have your contact information on your ticket and will contact you to let you know that you are the lucky winner!

Where will the exhibits be located on campus?

Exhibits will be clustered in several indoor locations as well as some outdoor spaces across campus. Indoor exhibits will be in the Physical Education Building, Campus Center, the Science Center (be sure to stop in and see Stan the dinosaur!), and the Student Services Center where the rocket build will take place (signup required). Outdoor exhibits will be scattered around the sundial and grassy space between the Theater Arts Building and the Computer Science Building.  Look for the "exhibit" signs pointing the way.

Will food be available?

Food will be available for purchase in the Campus Center cafeteria beginning at noon. Look for seating in the area outside the Campus Center to enjoy your snacks or lunch (the seating area inside the cafeteria will be used for exhibits).

What if it rains?

Rockville Science Day goes on rain or shine! Most exhibits are indoors and won't be affected by inclement weather. Outdoor exhibits will be relocated to the parking garage.

Where should I park?

You may park in any lot on campus that is not restricted. Handicapped spaces are clearly marked and will be available to those who need them.

Is there a central spot where I can get information on the day of the event?

The area outside of the PE Building includes a Rockville Science Center information tent. We'll have copies of the event map and program available and friendly volunteers who can point you in the right direction no matter where you are headed!
